Titolo : THE MATERIALS COMMON HOUSE – MATCH

Mastering the design, research and development of new and improved materials will remain key for achieving the goals of the European Innovation Policy, in agreement with the European Strategy for a smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. A dynamic structure, following materials research and innovation across the European Union, is called for. The goal is to make Europe a more coherent system, and also to help in better coordinating future EU materials activities with those in Member States, Associated Countries, Global Partners, industry and academia, to avoid duplications and gaps. In this framework, MATCH project has been funded by European Commission under Work programme NMP of Horizon 2020. The project is coordinated by Centro Sviluppo Materiali - CSM, (Italy) and foresees the establishment of comprehensive networks focusing on complementary stakeholder areas to enable promotion of connections between the scientific creativity represented by academia (research institutes, universities and scientific infrastructures) and the enterprises (industry and SME`s) to focus on market needs (products and technology innovations or implementations), to which will add wealth creation and employment opportunities. Consequently, a better organized, more coordinated and effectively communicating materials R&D&I community gathering national, regional and European stakeholders should emerge. This multi-storied Materials Common House, founded upon the value-chain concept, will bring added value to industries and societies in Members States and Europe as a whole. MATCH consortium is formed by 19 partners from 9 European countries. LSC activities will be focused mainly on the WP 2 - Networking of European and national activities on Materials.
