Folder   FIRST STEERING COMMITTEE MEETING OF THE EUROPEAN PROJECT ON SOCIAL SCIENCES, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
 
The University of Tor Vergata hosted in Rome, on 26 and 27 October, the first Steering Committee meeting of a project, titled Social Sciences and European Research Capacities (SS-ERC), focused on the use of social sciences within the scientific and technological research. The project is financially supported by the European Commission DG Research, within the Sixth Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development. (Priority 7 – Citizenship and Governance in a Knowledge-based Society). The meeting saw the participation of the representatives of the institutes and research centres which are members of the project partnerships: Stefano Ciccone and Gian Luca Porinelli, of the University of Tor Vergata (Italy), project coordinator; Evanthia Kalpazidou Schmidt, of the University of Aarhus (Denmark); Peter Sekloca and Ernest Zenko, of the University of Primorska in Koper (Slovenia); José Martin y Pérez de Nanclares and Susana Sanchez Galve, of the Fundaciňn General of the University of la Rioja (Spain); Fabio Feudo and Marco Montefalcone, of Laboratorio di Scienze della Cittadinanza (Italy). The project is overall aimed at improving the knowledge on the social dynamics involved in the scientific and technological research, in order to find more effective ways to manage them.
