BRUSSELS. A NEW EUROPEAN PROJECT ON THE USE OF SOCIAL SCIENCES IN SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNOLOGICAL RESEARCH

A new European project on “Social Sciences and European Research Capacities” (SS–ERC) has started in may. The project is funded under the Sixth Framework Programme of the General Directorate for Research of the European Union (seventh priority: “Citizens and governance in the knowledge based society”).
The project will be carried out by a consortium composed by: the University “Tor Vergata” of Rome, through its Scientific Park Office; Laboratorio di scienze della cittadinanza, of Rome; the University of Maastricht (the Netherlands); the University of Aarhus (Denmark); the University Primorska of Koper (Slovenia Republic); the Fundaciňn General of the University of Rioja (Spain). The general aim of the project is to increase the knowledge on the sociel dynamics within scientific and technological research process, in order to effectively manage them.
The Project was presented to the European Commission-DG Research, during a Project Management Conference, that took place in Brussels on 8-9 june.
