14-15 November 2016: conference in Rome of the CityCop project

"CityCop Forum: Smart solutions for citizen safety" is the title of the CityCop project conference to be held in Rome on 14-15 November 2016, at the CNR (Piazzale Aldo Moro, 7). During the conference, the development of an application to encourage the interaction between the police and citizens in the framework of "community policing" will be discussed, which is being tested in four European cities. In particular, the state of the CityCop project work will be presented and discussed, with regard to research on community policing (from various points of view), the development of the aforementioned application (functionality, feedback from citizens, etc.) and the legal and related ethical aspects of this issue (especially on the privacy side).
At the conference, Laboratorio di Scienze della Cittadinanza will present the results of its ongoing research about the strategies that can facilitate citizens participation within the framework of community policing programs, and the role of information and communication technologies in this field.
