The First Policy Workshop of the SMART Project (Scalable Measures for Automated Recognition Technologies) will take place in Florence on 25 and 26 September 2012. The programme will include:
- Presentations by SMART Project work package coordinators of intermediary results achieved in analysing the following sectors: border control, counter terrorism, law and order, consumer sector multi-purpose mobile devices, e-Government and cyberspace;
- Speeches by invited speakers on key issues relating smart surveillance;
- Presentation of papers selected on the base of a Call for Paper.
