On January 11-14, 2011 took place in Rome the Steering Committee and the Full Immersion Workshop of the Consent project ( www.consent.law.muni.cz ). The Steering Committee has been devoted to make the state-of-the-art of the activities carried out in the first year of the project and the first outcomes arised. During the Workshop, Luciano d’Andrea (LSC) presented the main outcomes of the review of the literature on the weight of cultural differences in attitudes and behaviours towards privacy and self-disclosure in internet and a proposal of interpretative and theoretical model for the research activities of the project. Furthermore, during the workshop the questionnaire for the on-line survey on attitudes, orientations and behaviors of users towards the protection of personal data has been presented and discussed. The meeting –hosted by the Italian National Council of Research - was attended by the partners project and some representatives of the European Commission.
